As we kick of another firework filled Independence Day, please remember to keep your pets safe!

A few tips for those with extra anxious critters:

  1. Create a safe haven - this could be a room or bedroom with all of their favorite things, comfy blankets, a kennel, etc.

  2. Keep the TV or radio on to drown out the booms.

  3. If your pet is a runner, make sure your pet has proper ID tags in case of escape.

  4. If your Vet prescribed medication, give as directed.

  5. Exercise them during the day so they will not have to go out during the finale display.

  6. Lastly, keep them away from fireworks. No pet should be accompanying you to the show, they are much happier at home even if they are alone!!
